About Our Pilates Teacher Training Program
Most certificates teach you what to do. We teach you why you are doing it. Special guest instructors and studio owners, this program blends the “Controllogy” roots of Joseph Pilates with contemporary strength training and anatomy.
Pilates isn’t just a workout. It’s about understanding the body’s architecture to move stress out and strength in.
Participants will engage in hands-on practice, receive personalized feedback, and learn how to inspire and motivate their future students.
Our goal is to foster a supportive learning environment where you can grow both personally and professionally, rediscovering your ‘why’ in the process.

Why In Person Matters?
Many people are missing hands-on tactile cues; it’s hard to learn the nuances of touch and body positioning through a screen. We’ve found that people struggle to stay focused on a laptop for extended periods of learning, so we brought this training in person. You’ll get the direct feedback, physical guidance, and real-time interaction that makes all the difference.
I’m not "advanced" at Pilates. Can I still join?
Absolutely. You do not need to be able to perform a perfect “Teaser” to be an incredible teacher. In fact, some of the best teachers are those who have had to work through their own stiffness or injuries.
Prerequisites: We ask that you have taken at least 10 Pilates classes (online or in-person) prior to the start date so you are familiar with the basic vocabulary. We will teach you the rest.
We also offer an audit option, for those who wish to do a deep dive into their own practice but do not require certification. This option does not require you to complete the written or practical exam.
Why 2 weekends?
This is an immersion-style training. Trainings that are only one weekend don’t set you up for success!
• During the weekends: We maximize our time with hands-on breakdown, anatomy, and cueing labs.
• Between/After: You will have homework, observation hours, and self-practice assignments to solidify what you learned.
There is a weekend in between to decompress and take in the knowledge!
By the end of the second weekend, you won’t just “know” the exercises; you will have practiced teaching them repeatedly in small groups. You will leave confident enough to teach a beginner class.
What if I miss a day or a few hours?
Because this is an accelerated format, 100% attendance is mandatory to receive your certification. We cover critical safety and anatomy components every single morning.
If you have a known conflict, please email us before applying. In case of emergency/illness, makeup hours may be available at an additional private hourly rate.
